About the only place to get pure bismuth is from a chemical supply company. For example:

Lead-free fishing weights with bismuth in them probably are all alloys of bismuth. (Bismuth-tin seems to be the most common). Pure bismuth is brittle and wouldn’t work very well as a fishing weight.
